October 4, 2002:
Researching my husband's genealogy. John & Katherine Young emigrated to
Canada, from Adare, County Limerick, as part of the Peter Robinson's settlers on
board the Stakesby in 1823. While enroute, Katherine bore Henry Stakesby
Young. They also brought 7 daughters with them. They settled in Carelton
Place. Henry married Rachael Dougherty, and they had seven sons. (how
ironic is that?) Four of Henrys sons moved to Saginaw, MI, USA circa
1885, one of the brothers, Edgerton Ryerson Young, was my husbands
ggrandfather. Interested in any connections, or if anyone can pass along
information on any siblings of John or Katherine. John passed away just
five years after moving to Canada. Did Katherine remarry? (He was aprox
41 and she 39 at time of their passage.) I received information that
they are mentioned in a book by Carolyn Heald, re: The Irish Palatines
in Ontario, but have as yet not been able to recieve the book via,
inter-library loan. thank you for any information that you may pass along.

October 28, 2003:
Researching a family line descended through Henry Stakesby Young born to J & K
while at sea and came up with your email as a contact. Wondering if you would
share any research or information you may have. I use Family Tree Maker and
would be happy to pass on a copy of my file as it is completed.
Hoping to hear from you.
