In the course of researching the Royal Sappers and Miners [my James TELFORD
was a member of the 5th Company in Quebec], I came across the attached which
might add some new details to your History File of Ottawa:
The History of Westboro, by Michael Davidson

Corp. William Ross and two of his Royal Sapper colleagues built the landmark
Bayne House at 40 Fuller St in 1828. Ross eventually married George Bayne's
daughter, Ann.
