 August 7, 2002:
Note: (1) The Nepean Militia was a component of the Carleton County militia. Bruce
Elliott's book lists approximately 27,000 men aged 19 to 39 in Upper Canada who were
members of the militia regiments. The ones of interest in the Ottawa area are Nepean,
Huntley, Goulbourn, Bytown, Hog's Back, and March Township.
