Good morning Al its Eileen Boardman who is related to Tierney's in
Carleton and whose ggrandfather John is on the 1851 census of Huntley twp
listed as a widower.
I did read the parish records of Corkery and have been to the cemetery
hoping to find my ggrandmother Cecilia Coghlan / Coughlin haven't a clue where she is
buried. The last child on the was Mary born c1844.
John appears on 1881 census Renfrew under his son's name James who lived on
Queen's line near Cobden. He is buried at Portage du Fort apparently their
parish church. Some of my grandfather's children and James children were
baptised at Portage.
I am having trouble finding a marriage for John Jr and Mary. James and Denis
married Mcdonnell girls daughters of Henry and Ann McQuade of Goulbourn who
moved to Renfrew c1862 which brings me to a connection of Marliyn Cotterell
whose relative married a McQuade.
The Jim Robinson you are emailing found my ggrandfather in Ireland by
researching in the Dublin library. He was married in 1831 and two children
born Ireland Ann,John. He was in Carleton by 1837 when my grandfather was
A sister Carmeletia who just died said she was related to my family by her
ggrandmother Catherine Tierney who married Patrick Rowan whose grandaughter
married a Byrne all from Huntley. Her family is buried at St Mihael's.
Thought this might interest you and if you have any Tierney info from
Huntley would appreciate it.

Thanks Eileen
