Art Exhibition and Fundraiser
Organized by Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts & ARTemisia.
The purpose of this art exhibition is to support the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County through the
exhibition and sale of original artworks that explore the theme of memory.
What is it like to experience nostalgia, or déjà-vu? Why do we remember some things better than others? Or, how are
certain memories attached to sensory experience – the cologne of an ex-lover, the taste of a home-cooked meal,
the sounds of a particular space or city. How is our identity defined by our memories of the past, and do we change
if these events are forgotten? We invite you to interpret the theme of memory broadly and uniquely.
