The purpose of this art exhibition is to support the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County through the exhibition and sale of original artworks that explore the theme of memory. What is it like to experience nostalgia, or déjà-vu? Why do we remember some things better than others? Or, how are certain memories attached to sensory experience – the cologne of an ex-lover, the taste of a home-cooked meal, the sounds of a particular space or city. How is our identity defined by our memories of the past, and do we change if these events are forgotten? We invite you to interpret the theme of memory broadly and uniquely. “DON'T FORGET” Dates & Times: Thursday, September 23rd Friday, September 24th, 6:00 – 9:00pm Saturday, September 25th Sunday September 26th, 11:00am – 5:00pm Sunday, September 26th, 5:30 – 7:30pm FREE ADMISSION *************** The Ottawa Sculpture Show 2010 "Dimensions" The sculpture show presents an amazing cross-section of conceptual and representational interpretations, materials and techniques used by the sculptors of the National Capital Region.
