British Home Child to Brudenell, Renfrew County,
October 2, 2013:
Could I please add the following person to the chart on your website? I am looking for my grandfather, and believe he was a Home Child.
John HARRIS – Arrived 1900 age 14 at Quebec City on ship Tunisian, then to Ottawa. From there sent to work as servant for widow
and store owner Hannah Kiely in Brudenell & Lyndoch Township, Renfrew County.
Contact Denise Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org .
There was a "Kiely Settlement" in the Brudenell area. Patrick Kiely owned a store in Brudenell and among the Kiely families,
there were several Johannahs, often shortened to Hannah. I'll have a look.
E-mail Denise Harris and Allan Lewis
