The DOYLE Road in Osgoode Township is named for the several DOYLE families most of whom
came from County Wexford in Ireland. Denzil Doyle has written some of the DOYLE
family histories in Pioneer Families of Osgoode Township.
June 10, 2012:
My GreatGreatGrandmother was Margaret Doyle. She died in childbirth in 1844 on the
neighbouring Lawrence Burns farm.

Andy Doyle and his sister Mary Ann Doyle, lived in the stone house,at Herbert's Corners , I picked potatoes for a number years,
80 years ago or more for them and on the next farm south ,cousin,s was a Jack Doyle and his sister another Mary Doyle .
I Knew them well.
I recall lot of names, related away back. Shields , Blanchfield, Nash, Leahy, Herbert , Tighe, etc etc '
My mother, Mary Ida Leahy, daughter of Margaret Jane Herbert. Grand Daughter of James Herbert and Elizabeth Nash, was the
daughter , of Patrick Nash and Margaret Blanchfield.
